Kids’ Art + Toy Closet Reset

This kids’ art and toy closet had plenty of storage, but over time it had become overloaded and difficult to use. Craft supplies, games, toys, paper and activity items were all mixed together, which made it hard to see what we had and even harder to put things back. I reorganized the existing shelves and containers, grouped like items together, created clearer homes for everyday supplies and made the entire closet easier for the kids to use and maintain. The goal was not just to make the closet look neater — it was to create a system that actually worked better for everyday life.

WHAT THIS PROJECT SHOWS

Practical help from idea to finished space.

Organization + Function

Creating a system around how the kids actually use and put away their supplies.

Using What Is Already There

Reworking the existing shelves and containers instead of adding more storage or remodeling the closet.

Clearer Everyday Systems

Grouping like items together and giving craft supplies, games, toys, paper and activities defined homes.

Easier Maintenance

Making it simpler to see what is available and return each item to the right place.

Same closet. Same stuff. A system that actually works.
