REAL PROJECT • REAL RESULTS
This home had no practical place for coats, backpacks, shoes or winter gear near the garage entry. Instead of trying to force more storage into the hallway, we looked at the space differently and realized the laundry-room closet on the opposite side of the wall could be repurposed. By opening the wall and borrowing that closet space, we created a built-in mudroom bench with shoe storage, upper cubbies and hooks for everyday grab-and-go items. The result was a functional drop zone that made coming and going much easier for the whole family.
